In Bonaire, a Caribbean island where grid reliability can be affected by extreme weather and seasonal outages, this project was designed as a fully off-grid residential energy system. The homeowner required a stable and independent power supply to support daily household electricity use without relying on the local grid.
Before installation, frequent power interruptions and prolonged outages made it difficult to maintain normal home operations. During hurricane season in particular, electricity supply was uncertain, affecting lighting, cooling, and other essential household equipment.
BSLBATT participated in the project by supplying three LI-PRO 15360 lithium iron phosphate batteries, each with a capacity of 15.36 kWh. The batteries were installed in a rack-mounted configuration and paired with three Victron Quattro 10 kW inverters to form a 46.08 kWh off-grid energy storage system. The system design focused on durability, weather resistance, and stable power output.
After commissioning, the system has been operating reliably, supporting daily charge and discharge cycles and providing continuous power regardless of grid conditions. The household now relies on stored solar energy to meet its daily electricity needs without interruption.
The system has enabled full energy independence and improved power reliability for the home.
This case demonstrates how a compact off-grid lithium battery system can provide stable and practical energy for island households.
