BSL Lithium Batteries FAQ

Frequenty asked questions

Lithium ion Battery

A lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery is an advanced battery technology that uses lithium ions as a key component of its electrochemistry. During a discharge cycle, lithium atoms in the anode are ionized and separated from their electrons. The lithium ions move from the anode and pass through the electrolyte until they reach the cathode, where they recombine with their electrons and electrically neutralize.

BSLBATT batteries can be used around 3,500 life cycles. Battery design life is around 10 years, and we offer you 5 years warranty.

Yes. BSLBATT battery features thermally safe and long-life Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells. BSLBATT battery is also IP 67 rated and suitable for applications in humid and wet environments.

Yes, BSLBATT Lithium batteries are ideal for series and/or parallel  connections. Should you be unfamiliar with wiring batteries in series or parallel, please contact us.

Our LiFePO4 batteries are considered to be safe, non-flammable and non-hazardous for superior chemical and mechanical structure.

They can also withstand harsh conditions, be it freezing cold, scorching heat or rough terrain. When subjected to hazardous events, such as collision or short-circuiting, they won’t explode or catch fire, significantly reducing any chance of harm. If you’re selecting a lithium battery and anticipate use in hazardous or unstable environments, LiFePO4 is likely be your best choice.

Yes, lithium-ion batteries can be recharged at any time. Unlike lead acid batteries, it won’t damage the battery to utilize opportunity charging, which means a user could plug the battery in during a lunch break to top off the charge and finish their shift without the battery getting too low.

ISO9001, ISO14001, CE, UL, UN38.3 , IEC , TUV , PICC,CEC.

Only store your battery when charged between 20-80% SOC, in specified environmental conditions for no more than 6 months.

It is recommended to perform preventative maintenance and checks on your battery every 6 months.

Tips for Use

LiFePO4 batteries should be “topped off” after each use. For greatest longevity, We recommend not fully discharging the battery or overcharging it.

Yes, if your charger is capable of outputting the required voltages measured at the battery terminals for bulk, absorb, and float.

Store BSLBATT Lithium batteries in a cool dry place, and be sure to fully charge them before storage. If storing it for an extended period of time, we advise charging them up at regular intervals–typically “topping off” every month or every other month.

The length of time it takes to charge a li-ion battery depends on the type and size of your charging source.

Our recommended charge rate is 50 amps per 100 Ah battery in your system. For example, if your charger is 20 amps and you need to charge an empty battery, it will take 5 hours to reach 100%.

As for battery replacement, you need to consider capacity, power, and size requirements, as well as making sure you have the right charger.

Yes. You can discharge BSLBATT LITHIUM down to -20°C. However, only charge BSLBATT LITHIUM when the battery temperature is 0°C or higher.

The batteries are sealed and can handle being in a moist environment. Like any other electronics, you should not submerge them in water.

You can use any standard charger, solar or wind charge controller to charge our LiFePO4 battery.

Lithium Forklift Battery

BSLBATT forklift Battery pack is made using large format prismatic lithium-ion cells. The cells are constrained against shock and vibration in a steel enclosure.

Yes, BSLBATT forklift Batteries can be plugged in at any state of charge with absolutely no negative effects. In fact, opportunity charging can actually increase the lifetime amp-hour output of the battery.

No, but an annual inspection is recommended by an authorized dealer to ensure maximum battery health and life.

BSLBATT Forklift batteries include drive away protection which does not allow the user to use the truck while charging. The battery does not need to be disconnected from the truck when charging.

Packs should only be charged from 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F) and discharged from -20 °C to 55° C ( -4°F to 131 °F).

No, lithium-ion batteries do not require watering. They are completely sealed and produce no gas when charging. In addition, the electrolyte is made of organic solvents, so water should not be used.

Once the battery reaches 10% SOC LED will flash notifying the operator that the battery is about to go dead. We recommend plugging the pack in as soon as the initial buzzer sounds to prolong the life of the battery.

Stationary Energy Storage

A lithium solar battery is a device that converts light energy (mainly sunlight) into electricity. The power of lithium solar battery is related to the intensity of light, the stronger the light, the stronger the power output.

The Standard of BSLBATT Lithium Solar Battery has IEC61690, IEC62133, ISO 12405-1:2011, ISO 12405-2:2012, ISO 12405-3:2014.

BSLBATT Lithium Solar Battery lead time is approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on quantity and customization requirements.

1.44GWh.Production capacity is around 500 sets per day, 15,000-18,000 sets per month currently.

A solar system needs a reliable solar lithium battery to receive and store solar energy, the BSLBATT Lithium Solar Battery features
