Project Introductions
The reliance of Cape Town on an ageing and often unstable electricity grid has resulted in an erratic supply of electricity, especially in the more remote areas. Diesel generators are often used as a back-up power source, and their environmental impact exacerbates interruptions in the power supply. To solve these issues, we installed a 15.36 kWh solar wall mounted battery system consisting of three PowerLine-5 units and a Goodwe ESG2 inverter to provide a reliable, environmentally friendly alternative.
Product Descriptions
PowerLine-5 is an ultra-thin, wall-mounted battery with a depth of just 90mm, making it ideal for installation in compact spaces. With a capacity of 5.12kWh per unit, it offers strong scalability, capable of being connected in parallel with up to 32 identical batteries to meet growing energy demands. The battery uses environmentally friendly, non-polluting LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) technology, ensuring a long cycle life and deep discharge capacity for maximum reliability and longevity.
User Benefits
The solution enables efficient solar energy storage, optimises self-consumption, reduces dependence on the grid, replaces pollution-causing diesel generators, significantly reduces carbon emissions and provides a quieter, more sustainable power supply. With BSLBATT’s reliable lithium batteries, the system provides long-term energy storage with minimal maintenance costs, thus ensuring energy independence and cost savings for the user.
